Packet pick up info is TO BE ANNOUNCED
Out of town athletes may pick up their race packet on race day. Please arrive earlier to do so.
Raffle Tickets
Proceeds from our raffle and a portion of our vendor fees are donated to charitable youth organizations who serve the youth of our community. We select a different youth charity for every event. Local businesses donate prizes for our raffle. Our first event raised $400 for Nana's House, helping abused, abandoned and neglected children. Our second event raised $500 for the Women's Center of Brevard youth summer camp, Camp Gaia. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase throughout the event. Please bring cash to purchase tickets. Private donations will also be accepted at the event. Great prizes to be won!
Please help us to support our youth.
Parking
Park in IHB Police Dept Parking lot and City of IHB Parking lot on north side of the community center. No vehicles will be allowed to enter the race area. Restrooms for the athletes and their families are located in the pool entrance area.
Transition
Report to Transition Area with all your gear. Body marking will take place at transition and will be on the front of the shins.
Park Bike - Locate your age group sign and park your bike in that area. Take a good look at where your bike is parked to spot easily after your swim.
BOB'S BICYCLE SHOP will be on hand to assist with last minute bike checks, flats etc.
Attach Bib # - pin it to the FRONT of the bathing suit (if you plan on doing the whole race in your bathing suit) chest area for girls, left leg area of swim trunks/jammers for boys or the shirt you will be wearing for the bike/run portion, or use a tri belt. Course Marshals MUST be able to see your bib number while you are on the course.
Helmet - check to make sure the straps will be snug. Place on seat or hang from handle bar.
Towel - place next to or hang from bike.
Shoes (mandatory) - Place shoes next to bike, ready to slip on; socks are optional and tend to slow you down.
Assistance - Only parents of Tiny Tykes will be allowed to assist their children after the swim with shoes, shirt, helmet and getting on their bike as necessary. Parents of Juniors to Super Juniors will not be allowed to assist during the event. Volunteers will be there to help as needed.
Familiarize yourself with Transition Area and Race Course
The run and bike courses are different and laps vary for different age groups. Please review with your child.
Report to the Pool
Each age group will be called to the staging area at the pool before their approximate start time. Listen for your age division to be called, and then head to the pool. This would be a great time to use the rest room. Parisi Speed School will lead a stretch session for each age group prior to their race start. Participants separate from their parents and head to the staging area to line up for the start.
During the Race
Where to Watch - Avoid crossing onto the race course at all times during the race, and follow the directions of staff. You may watch the swim from the allocated areas around the pool. The bike course can be viewed from any area around the Gleason Park walking path. The run course can be viewed along the running path behind the pool area and along the path. Equipment may be picked up from the transition areas only when it does not interfere with other athletes still competing. Please be respectful.
Parents, please be mindful of participants on the course. For everyone’s safety, please do not run on the path with your child in either the bike or run portion. Only parents of Tiny Tykes will be allowed to follow their child to guide them in the right direction.
Parents please watch out for other participants.
Finish
Refreshments - Available to participants near the finish line.
Awards - will be presented after the oldest age group has finished.
All athletes will receive a ribbon upon crossing the finish line. Prize medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, 3rd male and female in each age group. This is an untimed event therefore each age group will complete their event before the next age group starts for place accuracy. Girls/Boys in each age group may be combined within their age groups but will still receive place medals according to gender.
